Subjects Taught
Advanced Functions & Modeling, Math III

B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from Southern Wesleyan University

This is going to be my 6th year teaching and my third year at RHS. Throughout my teaching career I have been able to teach Algebra 1, Math 2, Math 3, Pre-calculus and AP Statistics. This year I will be teaching Advanced Functions and Modeling (AFM) as well as Math 3.

I was born and raised in Randolph County. I have also lived in SC and TN for a few years, but my love for this area and my family brought me back. I am a graduate of the 2006 class at Eastern Randolph High School. I am married to Mr. LaRue (another teacher here at RHS), we have a little baby girl Madi Jo, and have two sweet kitties named Ross and Rachel. Yes they are named after the tv show Friends. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, my family, my friends, and volunteering/attending at New Covenant Church. My goal as a teacher, is to help my students learn to love and appreciate how math is life. I want them to become the best problem solvers they can be and really learn how to think things through. I am so excited to be able to help my students grow in many ways this year!
